Smaller acorn squash 13 circumference pressure cook at high pressure for 4 minutes then 10 minutes natural release. Larger acorn squash 17 circumference pressure cook at high pressure for 6 7 minutes then 10 minutes natural release. Place steamer basket into your instant pot along with your 1 2 cup of water. Perform a quick release of the pressure immediately after the cooking program finishes.

The only difficulty i had in getting the squash out of my instant pot was that the squash was soft once cooked through. The flavors are good and i will be keeping this recipe for future use. In the instant pot squash cooks evenly in a fraction of the time it takes in the oven and keeps its great texture that is lost when it s cooked in the microwave.
